It's time to ask yourself how can I make a difference. What can I do in my life that will be remembered for years to come and what will be the return on investment.   By donating to the Franklin Veterans Memorial Ski Area you will some day see your children  or even grandchildren enjoy their childhood, you will make a difference in peoples lives in your own community.  We are in need of money to ensure the safety  of our T-Bar and pass the regulations by the state to operate our T-Bar at the Franklin Veterans Memorial Ski Area.  This project will cost over $22,000 and  hundreds of volunteer hours to put together before snowfall.  With the help of SkyTrans Mfg.,L.L.C. working with Billy Hurd and Marc Piccard who are the project managers the kids and the citzens of Franklin and surrounding towns will have an affordable recreational area this winter.  How can you help?  The following companies have already started to donate their monies and we would like to thank the following.  Tiffany's Beauty Salon of Franklin did a cutathon this summer at the Weirs Beach and donated $1,600.00 to the Ski Area.  Penny Pitou in Laconia that owns and operates Penny Pitou Travel donated $1,500.00 as she was touched by an article about the area and knows how important it is to keep this area open for kids to be able to have dreams and achieve them.  We are hoping that you or your company can be creative or can donate money to help us raise enough funds to be able to secure this project, buy a new cable in 2010 that costs $20,000 and invest in a used or new groomer.  If you are interested in donating you can send your checks to Franklin Outing Club at 200 Prospect Street Franklin NH 03235 in C/O Kathy Fuller Treasure.   We will be selling T-Shirts to help raise money and promote awareness. We have memberships that you can buy and advertising in the lodge. Lets pull together as a community and keep Franklin on the map as a small city that really cares being a fun place to work and live.
